

Brenda was born on September 8, 1952, to William Arlington Harris and Myrtle Clemons Harris in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. She was the third of four children and grew up in both Arkansas and
Texas.
From an early age, Brenda had a great love for family get-togethers and Christmas celebrations. She made holidays wondrous for those that came together in her home.
She attended Malvern High School in Malvern, Arkansas. Following school, she met and married Glenn Eugene Richie. They had one daughter, Regina, and remained married until
1973.
Brenda had a gift for meeting and talking to people, which led her to working as an office manager and retail store manager for many years.
In 1989, she married Jerry Mac Fletcher, and together they built a life full of love, laughter, travel and adventure. They shared a growing family and a home full of warmth. She made every occasion special, turning simple moments into cherished memories.
Brenda loved life and filled it with things that brought her joy. She was funny, quick witted and endlessly generous.
Survivors include her daughter, Regina King; brother Kenny Harris; sister Sarah Phillips; grandson Chase Simmons; granddaughter Tayler Simmons; and three great grandchildren.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jerry, and her brother Bill (Leon) Bowen.
Brenda will be truly missed by many relatives and friends, cherishing all the good memories shared with her. She will always be remembered for the loving spirit and kindness she showed to everyone around her.
