A loving husband, father, friend, and Christ follower, Calvin is survived by his wife of 46 years, Rhonda, their two children Calvin Earl Webb III (April) and Kristen Harmon (Mark), six grandchildren, Landon Webb (14), Reece Webb (12), Cohen Webb (10), Brooks Webb (7), Henry Harmon (7), and Hannah Harmon (5), his brother, Warren Webb, and sister, Eunice Chevalier, and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calvin was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin Earl Webb and Virginia Webb and his sister Sally Webb.
Born in Odessa, Texas TX, Calvin spent several memorable months in Junction, TX prior to moving to Austin with his family at the age of nine. In Austin, Calvin met and started dating Rhonda at the age of 15. Calvin was a graduate of Austin High School where he was a drum major and went on to attend Texas Tech University with Rhonda. The two married in 1978 as they graduated and moved to Dallas, TX. Calvin began working at Arthur Andersen, as a Certified Public Accountant, where he stayed (except for one brief change) until the firm closed its doors in 2002. In 1984, Calvin and his family moved to Arlington, TX where they lived for over 35 years.
In 2003, Calvin started a company called Webb Watch Corporation (later named Gradient Solutions Corporation). In 2007, Cal began working with Calvin and he was proud to see the business grow as Cal assumed leadership in 2024. Calvin was a role model, friend, and mentor in the business community and will be remembered fondly by those he touched.
Calvin was a loving husband to Rhonda and wonderful father to Cal and Kristen. He was an involved family man and exceptional provider, and loved to offer wisdom and counsel to others when needed. He was extremely devoted to Rhonda and loved her deeply, which was obvious to all that knew them.
Calvin was also a proud grandfather and was affectionately called G-Pop by his grandchildren. Calvin and Rhonda would spend countless hours spoiling the grandkids and spending time with them in Mansfield, Austin, and Jonestown. He had no greater joy in life than spending time with his family.
We are deeply saddened by the loss of Calvin, but are thankful for the time we had with him and expectantly look forward to the time where we will see him again in heaven with Christ Jesus. In lieu of flowers, we invite you to participate in a charitable walk or run with your favorite organization in honor of Calvin (aka, G-Pop). We appreciate all those that made life special for Calvin. Please keep our family in your prayers.
The staff at Moore Funeral Home encourages family and friends to express their fond memories, expressions of sympathy and additional condolences to the family of Calvin Earl Webb II, by visiting www.moore-funeralhome.com.
