

Carl Otto Paustian passed away peacefully at home in the presence of his sons and wife, in Arlington, Texas, on January 29, 2022, at the age of 95. He was born on January 16, 1927, to Hugo Frederick and Agnes Caroline (Johnson) Paustian in Salisbury, Missouri.
Carl served in the U.S. Navy in the Phillippines as a radio operator during WWII and received a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, while playing basketball at Fort Hays Sate College in Fort Hays, Kansas. Carl met the love of his life of 74 years, Donna Jean Francis Paustian, while both were attending Fort Hays State College. Carl was employed by Boeing in Wichita, Kansas and retired from LTV Aerospace in Grand Prairie, Texas. Carl's love of sports and mentoring young athletes led him to spend many years coaching YMCA youth basketball and Arlington Optimist baseball teams. Carl was a charter member of St. Barnabas United Methodist Church in Arlington, Texas.
In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by brothers, Hubert and Dean; sisters, Marjorie and Yvonne; and sister-in-law, Thelma. Carl is survived by his wife, Donna; his son, Craig Alan, and daughter-in-law, Patricia Paustian; son, Marc Adair; grandchildren: Neal Paustian, Carrie Ann Mullinax and her husband, Kerry, and Carl Paustian III; and great grandchildren: Seth Mageo, Alana Mullinax, and Samuel Mullinax. He loved all his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He found joy and happiness during the times he spent his family and friends.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 15th at 2:00pm at Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arlington, Texas.
