

Carolyn Sue Pena passed away and went to her heavenly home on August 1, 2019 at the age of 71. She was known to her family as Sue. She was born in Houston, TX to Ralph and Evelyn Pena on August 4, 1947. The family moved to Austin, Tx where she attended grade school. Her father got transferred to Odessa, Tx to work at Piccadilly Cafeteria. Sue finished her schooling in Odessa and graduated from Permiah High in 1965. Her first job was working at Piccadilly as a cashier. Sue also graduated from Odessa College, after college she worked for Western and Southern Insurance as a secretary. In 1972 she moved to Arlington where she worked as a secretary at 1st Assembly of God Church in Grand Prairie. She was member at the church and helped with children mission programs. Before retiring Sue worked at Dillard's in Arlington as a bookkeeper. Sue was a Godly sister and aunt, strong in her faith and enjoyed her family and helping out anyway she could.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Evelyn Pena, a sister Deborah Mena. Sue is survived by her sister Linda Collins and husband Jim of Lubbock, sister Betty Mitchell of Arlington; brother-in-law Joe Mena of Arlington; nieces, April Sanders and her husband Aaron of Slanton Belinda Ellis and her husband Rodney of Arlington, Cassandra Mena of Denton; nephews, Jimmie Ray Collins of Lewisville, Richard Mitchell Jr and wife Areli of Mansfield, Ray Mitchell Of Arlington; Great niece Allison Mitchell, Great Nephews Tyler Sanders and wife Laura, Jade Collins, Damion Mitchell, and King Ellis.
She is remembered with great love serving the Lord with all her heart, mind and soul. She will be greatly missed.
