

Curtis Jaye Greer, 84, of Burleson, Texas went to be with the Lord Sunday January 28, 2018 after a brief battle with Parkinson’s disease. He was surrounded by his loving family and friends. Celebration of life services: Thursday 2:00 PM, February 1, 2018 at Sagamore Baptist Church 2301 Dottie Lynn Pkwy in Fort Worth. Viewing services: Wednesday 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, January 31, 2018 at the Moore Funeral Home 1219 N. Davis Dr. in Arlington.
Curtis was born on August 27, 1933 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He was a committed man of God with a soulful voice, a big heart & a huge family. He served in the US Army from 1953-56 during the Korean War. Curtis graduated with a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Houston in 1960. He went on to operate his own accounting firm for the next 58 years. He was married to the love of his life, Lois Leopard Greer. They would’ve celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 31 2018. He has also served as a member of Sagamore Hill Baptist church for the past 50 years.
Curtis was preceded in death by his mother Lola Mae Greer, his father Gus Sim Greer, brother G.S. Greer, sisters Mildred Parr, Mabel Auldridge, Aileen White, Willie Pirtle, & daughter Sharon Greer Bayer.
He is survived by his wife Lois Greer, daughters Belinda Greer Coffee & husband Robbie , Lisa Jenkins & husband Mike, Karen Webb & husband Scott. His brother Malcolm Greer & wife Shirley, sisters Thelma Lackey & husband Clyde, Frances Stringfellow, Barbara Bates & husband Bud. 6 granddaughters, 4 grandsons, 6 great granddaughters, 5 great grandsons, & numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, & friends. Curtis known to some as Granddaddy was never without his guitar or cowboy hat & was always the go-to for family entertainment. He will be truly missed.
