

David Ray Morris passed away April 3, 2026 in his home. He was born on February 4, 1948 in Fort Worth, TX to A.D. Ray Morris and Marjory Louise-Gholson Morris. He was a lifelong Fort Worth resident and graduate of Paschal High School in 1966.
He worked as a professional musician for many years in his early life, and was one of the founding members of a popular Fort Worth band named Tarbaby, later named the Fort Worth Rockers. He was also in the automobile industry for many years, working as a manager at a local dealership for many years. He later owned his own small automobile dealership and worked as an automobile dealer up until he passed away.
His great love in life was music, specifically playing the guitar. He played his guitar every day, bringing him joy beyond measure. He enjoyed going to concerts, listening to live music, watching concerts on TV, and talking about anything related to music, especially rock and blues music.
In addition, he enjoyed most things related to cars, especially Ford vehicles. Although not formally trained, he was a stellar mechanic, taught from an early age by his father, Ray, who was a master mechanic. David helped many friends and family repair vehicles over the years, and enjoyed the challenge of diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
Friends and family will remember David as a man who loved music, cars, and his family.
Preceded in death by his parents, A.D. Ray Morris and Marjory Louise Gholson Morris.
Left to honor his memory are his 2 children, Ericka RaeAnn Morris- Sammon (Sean) and Brian David Morris; grandsons MacKennon Michael Sammon and Kaleb Isaiah Morris (Kelsie).
