We are so sorry to hear of Don's passing.  He was a caring person and a real family man.  He always had enthusiastic updates on his kids and especially his grandkids.  He will be deeply missed.

I remember your dad having an asthma attack years ago when I was still at Fitz. I remember meeting him and how vibrant he was. You will always have a hole where his memory will be. The pain will lessen, but the lessons you learned from him will never go away. Sorry for your loss,

We live in the house behind Don's & have been good neighbors for more than 25 years. He was just one of the nicest, kindest people you could ever meet. I couldn't have asked for a better neighbor. My children were very fond of him and my grand children have even had the honor of meeting him. And to his family We will keep you in our thoughts & prayers and if you need anything we are just a backyard away.   May you find strength in this time of sorrow.

I met Don while we both worked at Aerospatiale Helicopter Corp and we became friends. I did some of his auto repairs on his vehicles. He will be missed by all.

I worked at the health department with both Adrienne and Don some years back.  I consider  both my friends. You  even came to my retirement party nearly 5 years ago. And before that cheered me on at the State Fair at the pie contest.  I so much enjoyed visiting with Don and hearing how all was doing. He was a good person.  Adrienne and family please know my thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.

As I think about you and say your name, a HUGE Grin appears on my face because that is what you always did when I seen you. My biggest and fondest memories of you were growing up across the street from you guys on Thomas Chapel.  I could come over and there you would sit in your fold out chair newspaper and listening to a ball game and we would talk about everything mostly for hours at least until it was way past dark and Adrian had to call you in sometimes for dinner.  Those are Memories I will FOREVER cherish in my heart.  I am so grateful to have gotten to see you a couple of weeks ago when my daughter and i came over to visit you and Adrian you both had just gotten back from Michigan and you again were SO HAPPY TO SEE Us walk over to your house and this time we all sat out on the porch talking sharing stories and you showing us pictures of the family.  You were a Proud Man and was not afraid to show it in the Love you always had when talking about Teri your daughter or Steve especially those grand-kids.  I will never forget you and now my kids know you and talk about you like your still here with us.  Thank you Don for the memories and laughter and filling our hearts with passion of Love and Joy.

Don was a man who gave! He gave to everyone who was blessed to know him and he will be truly missed. 
Many of us found Don to be an exceptional man, a person of great intellect and a big heart. A man who was passionate about his family and friends and always made time for all of us. I am grateful to have known him and will miss him dearly.

Dear Dad,
I know you are in Heaven now reading this. I just wanted to let you know how much you meant to me.  You were always there for every event in my life, as well as your grandchildren's.  I will miss our walks at the dog park with "the boys", riding bikes and sitting outside watching the birds in Michiganand  doing facetime with Jalen.  That always brightened up your day.  We never had one argument or cross word.  I'm so lucky to have had you for a dad.  Love, Your Little Girl, Terri.

Don Clapp was a wonderful man. I will never forget the many hours our families spent together on Glacier Avenue in Juneau AK. My love and prayers to Adrienne, Terri, Steve and their families.

Thank you to everyone at the YMCA for your outstanding friendships to my grandpa. I read Beths comment about feeling like you knew us, i could not help but feel the same about all of you. He spoke of his friends at the Y very often and the YMCA has truly been a huge blessing to him. He had many people he cherished and I feel so touched at the love and support he had in return. Thanks again!

I didn't know Don personally, but from what I've read and heard about him I know he was a good Man to anyone who crossed his path. My prayers are with this family in there time of sorrow. Rest In Love!!!

Don is one of the founding members of our senior classes here at the Central YMCA. He also served on our advisory board at our Central YMCA. He is beloved by our members, staff, volunteers and especially the children here at YMCA who called him Papa Don. Our Y family is grieving along with Adrienne, Steve Clapp and Debbie, Terri and Steve Morris his grandchildren, Jeff Shahidullah, Lisa Morris and Jack Clapp as well as his great-grandson, Jalen Shahidullah.  Although we may not have ever met you personally, we all feel like we have through the pictures and stories Don shared with all of us. I will miss Don greatly and feel blessed to have been able to know such a wonderful man.

Don and I used to talke about places in Michigan.  I will miss his smiling face at the front desk. I extend my deepest condolences to the family.

Uncle Don had the softest speaking voice and his stories were always interesting. I will always cherish the summer memories at the farm in Michigan with him.His smile was huge and you could see it from across a field. Always open arms to give a hug. RIP Uncle Don.

Heaven has gained another angel. Don truly loved, respected and was an encouraging force in anyone's life his path crossed. Even when he was absent in person, he would think of his friends by sending a postcard, bringing back fresh apples he and Addriene picked in Michigan, or he once brought me back a lei he got on vacation because he thought I would like it. Whatever he could do for his friends or family was his goal. We will miss you my friend.

Don is already sorely missed by us, his compatriots, at the Central Branch of the YMCA-Arlington.   Don was always kind and generous with his time.  Extending my sincere sympathy to his wife, Adrienne and family.

Don was one of my favorites at the YMCA.  He was consistently upbeat and friendly.  I also visited with him at the dog park when we both brought our dogs.  His family has my thoughts and prayers as they deal with their loss.
