Doris Rowlands VanVorst

Doris Rowlands Paman VanVorst went to be with her Lord on November 10, 2014, while visiting the Philippines. Doris was born on January 1, 1937, in Warrington, England, to George and Florence (Holt) Rowlands. Doris was married to Ronald Wayne Parman on December 26, 1953, who preceded her in death. Doris became a naturalized Citizen on September 14, 1959. Doris was married to Robert VanVorst on June 11, 2005, who preceded her in death.

Doris is survived by her son Melvin’s wife Jane Parman, her sons Jeff Parman and his wife Rosa, Benny Parman and his wife Debbie, Ralph Parman and his wife, Betty; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her brother, George Rowlands; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family.

Doris was preceded in death by her husbands, her parents, her son Melvin Parman, two great grandchildren: Gaven James and Hayden Laurel Smith; and her sister, Mary Hinton.

Funeral services will be held at 10am on Wednesday, November 26, at Moore Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Carl Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6pm – 8pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers for the service are: Chris Parman, Robert Parman, Geoffrey Parman, Jeoffrey Parman, Carson Glasscock, and Andrew Bishop. Doris will be honored by her great-granddaughter, Rebekah Lynn, singing at her service.
