

Earl Milton Johnson was the second of three boys born to Albert Clobury Johnson and Helen Henrietta Osborn Johnson Kane on Decemeber 23, 1928 in Ely, Nevada. After serving in the Army 1951 to 1953, he married Janet Briscoe on June 6, 1953. They moved to Texas in 1956 with their two oldest boys, and Earl went to Arlington State College (now UTA) for a degree in engineering then went to work at Vought in Grand Prairie after graduation. While at Vought, he was privileged to work with NASA on the Gemini, Apollo, and Skylab programs. Earl and Janet raised four children, Glen, Eric, Keith, and Pam and enjoyed many years with them and all of their friends in the neighborhood. When he retired, Earl enjoyed playing with his grandkids, photography, reading and writing books, driving around town in his Lincoln, and doing countless puzzles all over the house. He passed away peacefully on March 7, 2019 surrounded by family who loved him greatly.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Janet; his son, Glen; his grandson, Sam; his daughter-in-law, Donna; and his brothers, Fred and Charlie. He leaves behind three children: Eric (Helen), Keith (Jodie), and Pam (Larry); daughter-in-law: Brenda (Glen); grandchildren: Alan, Joseph (Ashley), Eli, Amanda (Alex), Ashley (Brennan), Meredyth, Brittany (Jaime), Jasmine (Loyde), Jacob, and Jarod; and great-grandchildren: Sidney, Jayden, Yindi, Scarlet, Caleb, Emma, Alex, Noah, Lea, Annabelle, Natalie, Ian, and Thales.
