Miss Edith Marie Burgess

Miss Edith Marie Burgess, age 91, of Azle, Texas passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024 in Saginaw, Texas. Edith was born on Wednesday November 2, 1932 in Jamestown, Ohio to the parents of Harold and Martha Glass.

On Thursday November 2, 1950 Edith married Robert L. Burgess and they had 4 children.

Edith was baptist and a homemaker who enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, traveling and in her later life doing side jobs with her husband for a realty company.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Robert L. Burgess, her sisters: Ruth Anna Williams, Mary Ellen Daughtry, Helen Louise Watson, Dessie May Goble and brother Oscar Glass.

Edith is survived by her children: Connie Steere, Carol Henderson (Eric), Patty Burgess, and James Burgess (Tommie). Her sister: Norma Jean Harlan, brother: Carl Glass. 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and a very large extended family.
