Edith Faye Shelinbarger

Private graveside services were held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Parkdale Cemetery in Arlington, Texas.

She was born on February 18, 1940 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Joe Lee and Sue Fisher Crowell. She married her high school sweetheart, Glen Shelinbarger, on June 6, 1957. A marriage that lasted 57

fantastic years. He preceded her in death on May 31, 2014. The greatest accomplishment of her life were her three children, whom she loved unconditionally. She was a retired nurse and a faithful member of California Lane Church of Christ.

She loved history and was proud of the service her ancestors had in settling this country. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, United Daughters of the Confederacy and the Continental Society of the Daughters of the Indian Wars. She was very proud of the fact of being a 7th generation Texan.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Glen, parents, sister & brother in love, Janice and Jack Holman and a brother, Donald Crowell.

Survivors are her beloved children, Rodney and Tammy Franklin, Troy and Melisa Shelinbarger and Lee Shelinbarger, seven grandchildren and their spouses. Four great grandchildren, sister in love, Laura Crowell Beavers, very special cousins and several nieces and nephews.
