Estela Cuevas

Estela was the family matriarch who lovingly raised her siblings after the passing of her mother, Berta Guerra. She was also an influential member of each neighborhood she resided in through her humanitarianism and selflessness.

She was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. While serving her family, she also worked as an agricultural farmer in both Mexico and in the United States and a child care provider.

She is survived by her husband: Benjamin Cuevas of Arlington, TX; daughters: Sara Cordero and her husband Cesar of Hurst, TX, Jomayra Mendoza and her husband Jose Mendoza of Arlington, TX and Yurizti Lopez; son: Alejandro Lopez; grandchildren: Gerald Polendo, Joanna Polendo, Jossie Polendo, Emily Mendoza, Angel Mendoza, Ben Mendoza and Emily Cordero; great-grandchildren: Jalicia Jordan, Damarian Jordan, Tyrone Jordan Jr., Aumrie Jordan, Jalene Reynolds and Jazlyn Reynolds; siblings: Raul Sanchez Sr. of Eagle Pass, TX, Oscar Sanchez Sr. of Eldorado, TX, Daniel Sanchez Sr. of Midland, TX, Bertha Leticia Sanchez of Piedras Negras, Coah, Mx and Dora Fuentes of Eldorado, TX.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Moore Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 14, at 10 a.m. also at Moore Funeral Home with Pedro Guzman officiating. Serving as Pallbearers will be: Benjamin Cuevas, Jesse Sanchez, Jorge Lalo Sanchez, Daniel Sanchez Sr., Raul Sanchez Sr., Oscar Sanchez Sr., Raul Sanchez Jr. and Danny Sanchez.
