

Floyd Booth Farrington, 87; a longtime resident of Arlington, Texas passed away on April 28th, 2016. Floyd attended the University of North Texas and was a member of the Talons. He was a pre-med student, studied business and education, and received his Masters of Education in Secondary School Administration. “Beav” met the love his life at UNT as well, Joan Elizabeth Farrington. They wed in January of 1951 and were married for 64 years. A Staff Sargent in the Marine Corp, he served his Country in the Korean Conflict. During his deployment to Korea; his first child, Phillip Farrington was born. Two children followed; Holly Flippin and Darcy Farrington. Beav and Jodi loved playing bridge with their friends, breeding and showing Great Danes, and were longstanding members of the American Kennel Club. He passionately loved his family, his work, and the Cowboys. Floyd was greatly respected by all who knew him as a man of character; and, in his later years he was a sweet and loving man dedicated to his family and friends. After recently losing the love of his life to Alzheimer’s, Floyd could not stand to be without her. He is now at peace with Jodi forever.
Preceded in death by wife of 64 years, Joan Elizabeth Farrington. Survived by children Phil Farrington, Holly Flippin, and Darcy Farrington; grandchildren Bree Caddell, Dani Caddell, and Tiffani Farrington; great-grandchildren Robert Adams and Anthony Caddell-Adams. He was an adored husband, father, PawPaw, and Pops. Plants may be delivered to Moore Funeral Home at 1219 N Davis Dr, Arlington, TX 76012.
