Services for Frances Mae York, 70, of Grand Prairie, who passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family, will be held on Friday, July 6, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis, Arlington. Pastor Larry Land will officiate the service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the graveside service.
Frances was born in Ft. Worth to Charlie and Dorothy Huckabee Heaslet on February 6, 1942. She was raised in Ft. Worth and attended Ft. Worth schools. She met Damon Lee York and they married November 12, 1960. They had three sons, Glenn, Doyle, and Michael Brent. She managed properties in the D/FW area for most of her life. She loved her family and she loved to read.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Damon, a sister Sue Ann, and her Aunt Mae. She is survived by three sons: Glenn York and wife Mary of Grand Prairie, Doyle York and girlfriend Jan of Grand Prairie, and Brent York and girlfriend Dana of Grand Prairie; brother, James Edwards; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
