George Wilson Nelms

Memorial service: 10 a.m. Tuesday at Northwest Christian Church, 1001 N. Davis, Arlington, Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at Moore Funeral Home.

George was born on Oct. 13, 1925, in Bonham, to Samuel Nelms and Leona Bradford. George was raised in Bonham and later moved to Dallas where he married the love of his life, Maudine King, who predeceased him. George retired from Sears where he worked as a salesman. George dearly loved his family, friends and the Lord. He also enjoyed his daily television programs, reading the newspaper and sports.

George loved to tell stories and the adoration he had from his family was something extremely special. He was an inspiration and truly one of a kind. He will be missed and remembered forever.

Survivors: George is survived by his daughters, Debra Colburn and Sandra McDaniel (Ken); grandchildren, Angela Blane (Tony) and Johnathan Landrum (Donna); great-grandchildre, Ashley, Caleb, Jacob, Seth, Abigail, Tiara, Raelynn, and Kaileah; and a number of other cousins, relatives and close friends.
