

Harry Lyndall Hughes, 85, passed away on May 7, 2026. Born March 26, 1941, in Fort Worth, Texas, he was the son of Hunter and Lois Hughes and carried with him a steady devotion to family, faith, and country throughout his life. He lived in N Richland Hills, Texas.
Harry graduated from Birdville High School in 1958, beginning a life marked by diligence and purpose. He served three years in the Army, a reflection of his deep patriotism and quiet courage. He later retired from Peterbilt in Denton, TX, where his hard work and reliability were evident to all who knew him.
A faithful man in both word and deed, Harry’s life was anchored by enduring love for those closest to him. He is survived by his wife, Linda Hughes; their children, Jayme (Douglas) McMillan, Sheila (Jason) Ridley, and Stephen Hughes; and his grandchildren, Joshua (Brooke) White, Kala Jarvis, Dawn Jarvis, Ted Jarvis Jr., Hunter Ridley, and Paige Ridley. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Zara Hooper, Kyle White, Cayden Heaslet, Hailey Lemons, Megan Bolash, Dameion Deis, Olivia White, Lyla White, and Aiden Jarvis.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Hunter and Lois Hughes, and his siblings, Bobby Hughes and Donna Hughes.
A Funeral Service will be held at Messiah Baptist Church, 7101 Baker Blvd, Richland Hills, TX 76118, on May 13, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Burial to follow after service at Mount Olivet Cemetery located at 2301 North Sylvania Avenue, Fort Worth, TX.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Messiah Baptist Church, 7101 Baker Blvd., North Richland Hills, Texas, US.
