Public visitation will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 from 9:00 to 10:00 am at Moore Funeral Home.
Don was born and grew up in Fort Worth, TX, on April 17, 1927. After graduating from Handley High School, Don served in the US Navy during WWII on the USS Hancock. He had several careers through the years; drove Greyhound buses, owned a Texaco Gas Station, and retired in 1989 after working as an auto transport driver for 30 years. He was a member of Teamster Union and enjoyed spending time with his family and listening to Big Band Music.
Don, also known as “Ne” to many, will be missed dearly by everyone who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ralph R. and Anna May Starks and his brother Ralph R. Starks Jr.
Survivors: his beloved wife of 69 years, Mary Starks; children: Bobby Starks (Rhonda), Linda Helms and Mike Starks; grandchildren: Brian Starks, Wesley, Cory and Keith Helms, Hailey and Paige Starks; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister: Lula Enevoldson.
