Ihsan Mankarious

Ihsan Ishak Mankarious, 84, of Denton, TX passed away on February 18, 2022. She was born in Cairo, Egypt on September 28, 1937 to Ishak and Inahm Loza. She was their 5th child. She graduated from the American College for Girls in Cairo. She was married on October 18, 1956 to Karam Samuel Mankarious.

In 1969, Karam and Ihsan immigrated to America to build a new life for their children, Maggie and Peter. Ihsan worked in the registrar’s office at Boston University for over 30 years. She was beloved by her colleagues who affectionately referred to her as “the queen.” She was a member of the board of the Blue Hill Community Church and held weekly bible studies in her home. She loved to travel and was always the life of the party.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Karam Mankarious, and her son Peter Mankarious. She is survived by her daughter Maggie Moryan, wife of Dr. Anwar Moryan, her daughter-in-law Mary Mankarious, her grandchildren Jaclyn Moryan, Jennifer Moryan, Dr. Kristen Moryan-Blanchard, wife of Bryan Blanchard, Christine Mehany, wife of Dr. Mark Mehany, Daniel Mankarious, and great-grandson John Peter Blanchard.

A funeral service for Ihsan will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012.
