Iva Mae Johnson

In her youth, Iva loved to sing for her community at church, crochet, and spend hours in her garden. She won countless trophies in bowling and was an avid card player. In addition to these accomplishments, she was masterful at entertaining company. Above all, she was the heart and soul of her family.

She is survived by her children: Randy Johnson of Arlington, Linda Walker of Waxahachie, Gay Bear of Arlington, Keith Johnson of Waxahachie, and their respective spouses. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John William Johnson, after 57 years of marriage, as well as her sister, Eva Johnson of Del City, OK, and brother, Herbert Lee Fisher of Stillwater, OK.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2015 at the Moore Funeral Home in Arlington.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, June 15, 2015, at the Moore Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Pastor Ron Adams officiating.

She will be buried on the 69th anniversary of her wedding date to the love of her life.
