

Jim was born in Knoxville, Tennessee on November 28, 1933, to George E. and Olga K. Freeman.
He grew up in Hazel, Kentucky and attended the University of Tennessee in Knoxville where
he graduated with a BS in Electrical Engineering in 1955. He enjoyed a 38-year career with
Lockheed Martin in Grand Prairie and retired as Director in the Missiles Division. Jim married
Bobbie Paschall of Puryear, Tennessee on Christmas day in 1955. They were married 68 years.
He is survived by his wife Bobbie, his daughters Debbie Cox and Michelle Scoville (husband Chuck), four grandchildren - Blaine Staniford (wife Dawn), Brandon Staniford, Garrett Scoville (wife Kaitlynn), Tara Scoville Zeiter (husband Nick), one great granddaughter, Isla Scoville, one great grandson on the way, his niece, Lisa Lewis, and nephew, George Smith.
He is predeceased by his parents, George and Olga Freeman, his brother, Dr. George Freeman, his nephew, Kelly Freeman, several aunts and uncles, and a very special grandfather, Walter D. Kelly (Daddy K.).
Jim was a lifelong Methodist and currently a member of New World Methodist Church in Arlington. His family is planning a private memorial service at Moore’s Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to New World Methodist Church or your favorite charity.
Jim was a devoted husband, loving father, and steadfast friend. He was deeply loved and will be greatly missed.
