Hi,  I am so sorry to hear of your father’s passing. I so enjoyed our dinners with your mom and dad when we would meet in Kansas City.  Sid thought so highly of Jim. They worked very well together and we have lost 2 fine men.  As your dad would say he couldn’t hardly wait until he would be with heaven with your mom.  He just got his wish.

This reminder popped up on my computer about your father's "going to be with the Lord" today and I can't help but remember the numerous fond conversations on life, family, politics, sports and business your Dad and I shared.  Jim's skill of story telling and joke telling was extraordinary and enriched my life.  Keep the faith and may his soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed be with Christ.

Thank you all for your kind words.  Dad was a handful that's for sure. From the worse jokes I have ever heard to failing to understand what was appropriate to say.  But he was dad.  He was definitely ready to go and be with mom.  I was with him at the hospital when we made the decision to move him to the Hospice Ward.  He understand what was happening and faced the ultimate with the same strength and Courage he lived his life.  Dad did not want a service, so feel free to stop by anytime. They will add his day of his death soon.  But for now he is with mom. 

My name is Karen Griff, I worked with Jim at Range Kleen based in Ohio. I was the coordinator for all Sales Reps with our company. Jim and I shared many wonderful memories of Range Kleen and his years working with Rose Marie at RSA. Jim would often call me and we would talk about the Cleveland Browns and either how well or how terribly they were playing football. Jim kept a fond spot in his heart for Cleveland since he did not like the Bengals who are from Cincinnati, which is where Jim was born. My sincerest sympathies to you and your families. Jim is a friend who will truly be missed.

Sadness with a smile was my reaction yesterday when hearing of Jim's passing, to his children and family I wish you a brief grief and lots of loving memories to keep for the rest of your life.  Jim represented our company for many years and I will always think of him as bigger than life, full of energy, love of his wife Rose Marie and children/family, the Cleveland Browns, funny/edgy jokes, engaging worldly debates on politics/culture and a strong faith in God behind that tough guy exterior that confirmed to all he had a big heart and love for people.  He was a coach to many about living life to the fullest no matter your situation at hand.  God bless Jim and may he RIP with Christ and others in heaven.

Your father was a real friend. He and Sid spent many times working together and their friendship lasted throughout the years until they both joined your mom in heaven.  I last talked to him not that long ago and I know he was ready to join your mom.  He is now in a better place with no pain and lots of friends and love one.

I will miss Jim. I was his mail carrier before I became his neighbor. I could always count on him for acting mad when he got junk or bills. He was a good neighbor and will be missed. My condolences to his family.
