

James P. (Buddy) Thomas died September 18, 2024, in Arlington, TX at 103 years old. He was born on August 9, 1921, in Genoa, TX. He is survived by Gertie his wife of 84 years. In 51 days, they would have celebrated their 85th wedding anniversary.
He is survived by twin daughters, Karlos Clark and husband Johnny Clark of Arlington, TX and Kathi Moore and husband Tom Moore of Nixa, MO. They were preceded in death by their son James P. Thomas, Jr. in 1992. They have 9 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Buddy and Gertie have resided in Arlington since 1949. James (Buddy) owned and operated T & T Brake Service in Arlington for many years. They attended Dream City Church in Arlington, TX. Buddy and Gertie loved serving in many capacities in their church and he was a Gideon for many, many years. After they retired, they enjoyed their 40 acres of property in East Texas and loved spending time in the beautiful woods with family and friends. They were a blessing to all their children and grandchildren. found ways to bless their lives.
Funeral services will be at Moore Funeral Home on S. Davis in Arlington on Monday, September 23, 2024. Visitation will be at 10:00 and the service to follow at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be a private graveside for family.
