Janell Cornelius

Janell Knight Cornelius, age 80 of Grand Prairie passed away March 1st, 2021 from Covid-19 complications. Janell was born August 10, 1940 in Rayville, Louisiana. She was an accomplished cosmetologist in Irving, Texas where she eventually retired. A devout Christian, Janell was an active member of her church, loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Frank Knight Sr.; grandson, Colby Waltman; and her great great-grandson, Ryche Song. She is survived by her husband, Paul Cornelius; her son, Calvin and Becky Waltman; her daughter, Donna and Robert Sudbay; her son, Jerry Waltman; her son James and Sue Waltman; her step daughter, Melissa Cornelius; her step son Jeffrey and Darcy Cornelius; her brother, Frank Jr. and Sue Knight; her grandchildren, Misty Denney, Stephanie Brand, Jennifer Pearson, Robert Sudbay, Shelby White, Ashley Waltman, Mary Waltman, Crystal Waltman, April Waltman, James Waltman, Calvin Waltman and Jacob Waltman; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Thursday March 11, 2021 at Moore Funeral Home Arlington, Texas. Janell's favorite color is blue and her favorite flowers are spring bouquets and yellow roses. Flowers can be sent to: Moore Funeral Home at 1219 North Davis Dr., Arlington, TX 76012.
