Jeffa Kay Clarkson

Jeffa Kay Clark Clarkson passed away March 1st surrounded by her cherished husband and family. Kay, as she was known by all, was born November 27th 1944 in Dallas, Texas to Trudy and Garvin Clark. She graduated from Justin F. Kimball High School in 1962 and graduated from the University of North Texas with a BS in 1965. Kay taught first grade at Leslie A Stemmons Elementary in the DISD from 1965 to 1970 until she retired in order to raise her family. Kay married Edgar (Buz) Clarkson at the Oak Cliff Luthern Church on February 5, 1966 whom she would spend 48 wonderful years loving unconditionally. Kay gave birth to Alicia Brooke on November 19, 1970 and Troy Damon on September 21, 1973. Kay devoted her life to raising her children and anyone else's child that walked through her door. She routinely opened her heart and home to anyone that was in need of love and compassion. Many will miss Kay including her brother Dr. Bill Clark and her sister Mary Gale Fox-Holmes but none more than in her words " the best husband and father ever" Buz. She will also be missed greatly by her daughter Alicia, son Troy, son-in-law Shawn Burrell, daughter-in-law Jennifer Clarkson and grandchildren Davis and Evan Burrell and Aeris and Leia Clarkson. Vistitation Wednesday March 5, 1:00 - 2:30 pm and funeral service to follow at 2:30 pm Moore Funeral Home.
