John Warren Perkins

Graveside service: There will be a private family service in Moore Memorial Gardens at a later date.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in John's name to the Women's Center of Tarrant County, 1723 Hemphill, Fort Worth, Texas 76110, or to a charity of choice.

He was born in Fort Worth on March 5, 1971, to Leslie Frank Perkins and Karen Sue Holmes Perkins. He attended Meadowbrook Elementary, Meadowbrook Middle School and Eastern Hills High School, all in Fort Worth.

John was a longtime, highly valued employee of Vertis Inc., both in Jacksonville, Fla., and Arlington, where he was a fixture on the deep-night overnight shift. John was a good friend to every one he knew, forging enduring friendships with folks from all walks of life. He was known for his sweet spirit and big, booming laugh. He will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his father, Frank Perkins.

Survivors: His mother, Karen Perkins; sister, Laura Perkins Cox; brother-in-law, Stephen Cox; nieces, Miranda Cox and Sarah Cox, all of Garland, and all his treasured friends.
