Jon Henry Grady Stephens

Jon Stephens, age 79, of Arlington, TX passed away, April 29, 2017. He was born on October 24, 1937 in Gadsden, AL to Henry and Christine Stephens. He married Inez Smith on September 26, 1959 in Ohatchee, Alabama.

• Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 58 years, Inez Stephens; daughters Kelly Lynn Stephens and husband Greg Argyle of Haslet, TX: Karen Leigh Stephens and husband Kevin Jamison of Dallas, Tx; granddaughter, Alexandra Driskill of Dallas, TX,; sister Betty Green & husband Baird Green of Odessa, TX . two nieces, Susan Williams and Chris Stephens; two nephews David Green and wife Loretta; and Richard Stephens. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Christine Stephens of Alabama, and brother Lamar Stephens of Florida.

• Jon served in the US Navy as a Electronic Technician. He was a Machinist & Tool & Die Maker for about 40 years, and retired from Bell Helicopter Textron. He loved working with his hands and could repair almost anything. Upon retirement he opened AMAR Tool & Machine in Arlington. He also liked machine woodworking, making many lovely items.

Memorial services will be held 11:00m, Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Woods Chapel Baptist Church.Arlington, TX. In lieu of flowers, a donation to Woods Chapel Baptist Church would be appreciated.

Burial will be at a later date in the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery.
