Joseph Thomas Kane

Joseph Thomas Kane, 78, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2012. Service: Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Thursday at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Arlington. Visitation and prayer service: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Moore Funeral Home, Arlington. Joe was born Sept. 6, 1933, to Joseph John Kane and Ann Jones Kane in Pittsburgh, Pa. Joe attended Pennsylvania State University and was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity. After graduation, Joe joined the U.S. Army and served from 1955 to 1957. He married his wife of 53 years, Kathleen Doyle Kane, on June 20, 1959. Joe worked for many years in the computer technology industry, first in Pennsylvania, then Nebraska and finally Texas. His true loves were his faith, family and golf ... and not necessarily in that order. He was a longtime member of Rolling Hills Country Club in Arlington. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Cecilia Kane Sanborn. Survivors: His wife; children, Leslie Kane; Kathleen Kane Pearson and husband, Joseph, James Kane, Carolyn Kane Rogan and husband, Michael, and Michael Kane and wife, Traci; grandchildren, Kate, Shane and Kelly Pearson, Nicholas and Alex Kane, Zachary, Madison, and Caroline Rogan, Emily and Turner Kane; and extended family.
