Kathleen Comire

Kathleen Elizabeth Comire of Edmond, Oklahoma (formerly Mansfield/Arlington, Texas) passed away peacefully on April 8, 2022, at the age of 83. She is preceded in death by her husband Camille Joseph Comire. Kay’s priority was caring for her family and supporting causes close to her such as the March of Dimes, Muscular Dystrophy and Breast Cancer Awareness. Kay worked in the medical field and was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi International Sorority.

Kay was known by many names, but her favorite was “Grandma”. She was a vibrant person who loved spending time with family and friends, gardening and traveling and the Dallas Cowboys. Kay loved animals and one of her favorites was her dog Roscoe, a loyal loving campion she had for over 15 years. Kay was a faithful church attender and a dear friend. She was a great listener, and you could always count on her support, but also her sound advice.

Kay’s family was her center. She loved seeing her children thrive and become great individuals, she was so proud of her children’s accomplishments. Kay loved spending time with her grandchildren, she loved watching them grow up and experience new adventures. The holidays were always a special time as family came together to cook, catch up and reflect.

Kay will be missed not just by her family and friends, but by all the others she touched who will miss her smile and grace. She has left her magical loving touch on so many of us and Heaven will be better with her there.

She is survived by her 6 children, daughter Mary Ann and husband Jim O’Connor, son Cam and wife Patti Comire, son Chris and wife Mimi Comire, son Mark and wife Kim Comire, daughter Rachel Dalby and husband Billy Lindley, daughter Ursula Comire and life partner Martha Ball, 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

A graveside service for Kathleen will be held Thursday, April 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. Following the graveside service will be a celebration of life from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Sheraton Arlington Hotel, 1500 Convention Center Dr, Arlington, TX 76012.
