Kenneth “Skinny” Williams, age 92, of Corpus Christi and Arlington, Texas died on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at Medical City Arlington Hospital. He was born May 1, 1925 in Ricardo Texas, to parents Frank and Maude Williams. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years – Virgie Williams.
Ken was a man who put the gentle in gentleman. He never shared an unkind word and chose to find positive things about anyone he met. A WWII Navy veteran and old-school machinist were Ken’s career vocations. His family was his heart. He and Virgie raised four sons together: Kenneth E., Raymond, David and Randy Williams. Through his example, his sons learned to be humble and caring men. He loved to tend to his Bluebonnets and he was a fan of all sports, especially baseball. He was a huge fan of the Houston Astros. He and his brother, Dale, would spend hours talking about the many baseball games they played as children and young men.
Ken is survived, and will always be loved, by his four sons and their wives, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Family visitation will be at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Dr. Arlington, TX 76012 at 1:00 pm Saturday, November 4th followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm. There will be a reception immediately following at the funeral home.
Memorial donations may be made in Ken’s name to the charity of your choice.
