Lena Faye Freeland

Lena Faye Freeland peacefully passed away with family by her side on April 27th. She was only six months shy of reaching her 90th birthday! Lena was born in Fort Worth, Texas daughter to Paul and Rovene Bishop. She graduated from Paschal High School and soon after, was married to Winford “Windy” Freeland. They were happily married for 49 years until Windy passed in May of 1995. Lena lived in the Park Cities and enjoyed studying the Bible, traveling, taking walks and spending time with all of her “children.” She was a member of Park Cities Baptist Church.

Funeral services to honor Lena, aka Mamaw, will be held Saturday, April 30th at 2pm. at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas She will be laid to rest beside her beloved Windy.

Mother, Mamaw, we thank you for teaching us all to center our lives around the one true rock that is the Lord Jesus.

Lena was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Winford "Windy" Aplin Freeland; Parents, Paul & Rovene Bishop; and Sisters, Mary Jones, Betty Lewis, & Norma Hux.

She is survived by her daughter Paula Johnson and husband Rex, Winnie Anderson and husband Terry, Debbie Hranicky and husband Jeff; Son-In-Law Bill King; Grandchildren, Wendy Haley and husband David, Angi Abercrombie and husband Carter, Salena Hubble and husband Bill, Amber King and boyfriend Charlie, Rocky Anderson and girlfriend Michelle, and Ashley Anson and husband Bobby; Great-Grandchildren Chase Gallatin, Chad Gallatin, Presley Abercrombie, Connor Hubble, Landri Hubble, Matrix Anderson, Beckham Anson, and Kace Anson; Brothers Paul Bishop, and Rex Bishop.

She was very loved.
