Linda Karlene Cox

Linda was born August 30, 1948 in Drumright, Oklahoma, to Helen (Nichols) McCain and Carl B McCain. She graduated from Seaman High School in 1966. On September 15, 1967, she married Larry G Cox in Topeka, Kansas. To their union was born one son, Christopher Lynn Cox.

After their marriage, Larry enlisted in the US Air Force and the couple moved to several places throughout the country. They ended up in Arlington, Texas, and remained in the metro area for the remainder of their lives.

Linda was gifted in many areas. She loved big and was always finding ways to show those she cared about how much she loved them; was a fantastic cook; an amazing storyteller and could make everyone laugh no matter how many times they’d heard the same stories. She was an amazing caregiver to her family. One of her greatest gifts was her ability to sing, a talent which she shared with countless others.

Surviving her includes son, Christopher, of Joshua, TX and granddaughter Sydney Cox of Dallas, TX; four brothers-in-law Lee Kensing, Rick Cox, Darrell Cox and Larry Hewitt, three sisters-in-law Linda Marsh, Cathy Ottens and Carolyn Hewitt and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Larry; sister, Willa Dean Kensing; two brothers, Jerry Gail McCain and L. Dale McCain; her parents-in-law, Earl and Pauline Cox; three brothers-in-law, Kevin Cox and Ron Marsh and two sisters-in-law, Linda McCain and Barbie Cox.

A visitation for Linda will be held Thursday, August 1, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington, TX 76012. A funeral service will occur Friday, August 2, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM at Moore Funeral Home.
