Linda was born November 23, 1946 to Tallie and Diane Perkins in Oakdale, Louisiana. She graduated from Northwestern State University of Louisiana in 1968 with a Bachelor's degree in education. She began her career as a teacher in the state of Florida where she met the love of her life, Skip Stoner, where he was a Naval Aviator out of Jacksonville. They married on November 29, 1969 and began their family together. Linda and Skip moved around the country following his military and aviation career with American Airlines and ended up in Arlington, Texas in 1979, where they became members of St. John Presbyterian Church.
In her spare time, Linda enjoyed interior decorating and shopping with her friends. But her main passion in life was her family, especially her grandkids. She could always be found supporting her kids and grandkids at their sporting events, going to OU football games, and traveling with Skip. She would also go all out for holidays and party planning. Linda was someone who never met a stranger. Her friendly ways and her sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Tallie and Diane Perkins.
Survivors: loving husband of 52 years, Skip Stoner; children, Todd Stoner and Kimmy Stoner Brock and husband, Buddy; grandchildren, Riley Stoner, Jaxon Stoner, Cason Stoner, and Aiden Brock; siblings, Rita Villneuve and husband, David, Larraine Coleman and husband, John O., and Larry Perkins and wife, Tammy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
