

Marjorie Elaine Johnson Pike, age 88, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and retired paraprofessional from the Arlington Independent School District, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2025, in Arlington, Texas.
Marjorie was born on May 28, 1937, in Enloe, Texas, and moved to Grand Prairie in 1943. She graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1955, where she was active in various choirs, a member of the National Honor Society, and earned multiple awards for her typing skills.
A woman of deep faith and service, Marjorie was a devoted member of St. Stephen United Methodist Church, where she joyfully served in many roles over the years, including church organist, choir member, children’s choir director, Sunday school teacher, youth sponsor, and in numerous other capacities. Her musical talent and dedication to the church community were a blessing to all who knew her.
Marjorie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Wayne Pike, in December 2000; and by her parents, Loraine and Luther Johnson.
She is survived by her loving children: daughter Marjorie Denise Pike of Arlington, TX; sons James Lawrence (Jamie) Pike of Montrose, CO; Ronald Wayne (JoAnne) Pike of Kingwood, TX; and Bradley Edward (Shar) Pike of Arlington, TX.
She was a proud grandmother to Christina, Michael Wayne, Nikki, James, Brendan, Danielle, Chelsea, and Kailey; and great-grandmother to Dakota Wayne, Avery, Laila, Milana, Addaleynn, James, Brylee, Kian, Olivia, and Sidney.
Marjorie is also survived by her brothers, Bob (Linda) Johnson of Cedar Hill, TX, and Dan (Pon) Johnson of Phoenix, AZ; four nephews, one niece, two great-nieces; her former daughter-in-law, Hisako Pike of Arlington, TX; loving cousins; and many dear and special friends.
Marjorie’s warmth, kindness, faith, and unwavering love for her family and community will be remembered always.
