Martha Johnston

Martha was born in Charlotte, North Carolina, December 13, 1930. She arrived in the arms of Jesus on Sunday morning, August 14, 2022. Her parents were Kirkland S. and Rena Bright Lamb. Preceding her in death was her son, Graham MacPherson Johnston (Tracey). She is survived by her husband, Wendell G. Johnston, two sons, J. Kirkland Johnston (Gayle) and Benjamin Charles Johnston (Sheri), and sister, Lillian Lamb Williams.

Martha received the Lord Jesus as her Savior as a child. She graduated from Central High school Charlotte, and Wheaton College in Wheaton, IL. She taught in elementary schools in Charlotte and Dallas. She married Wendell G. Johnston on June 4, 1954.

She was an active member of Grace Bible Church, Dallas. During her lifetime she taught Bible classes for women. Martha was active throughout her life serving on the board of directors for various Christian organizations as well as chairman of the board of her father's company. She was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution.

Martha had three sons, four nephews, seven grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
