Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Monday, March 29, at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Dr., Arlington, 76012. A visitation will be held from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Interment: Moore Memorial Gardens.
Darlene was born November 19, 1944 in Gilmer, Texas to Floyd and Mary Tate. She attended Gilmer High School. She married the love of her life, J.W. Stanley in 1964. She worked at Arlington Plaza Nursing Home and Mid-Cities Hospital in Grand Prairie as a housekeeper for many years.
In her spare time, Darlene enjoyed tending to her yard, shopping, and traveling. She also liked fishing and spending time at the family cabin in Gilmer. But her main passion in life was her family. She always made sure that everyone was taken care of. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, J.W. Stanley; and parents, Floyd and Mary Tate.
Survivors: son, Bobby Herring; grandchildren, Mary Hitner and husband, Kurt Whittenberger, Ray Herring, Susie Herring, and Troy Herring; great-grandchildren, Josh and Iris Hitner and Calvin Whittenberger; sisters, Dorothy Grabbs, Leta Bethel, and Rebecca Tinckney; nephews, Michael and Kenneth Kimmons; and her beloved cat, Rosie.
