Mary Nell White

Services for Mary Nell White, 89, of Arlington, will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, January 5, 2014 at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington, 1200 S. Collins Street, Arlington, Texas. The family will receive friends for visitation Saturday (today) from 4:00 to 6:00 pm at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 North Davis Drive, Arlington.

Mary Nell Waller was born January 18, 1924 in Breckenridge, Texas to Charlie and Ella Waller. She graduated high school in Breckenridge and went on to receive her bachelor's degree from Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene. Mary Nell married Vincent “Vic” White on December 6, 1946. She was a school teacher in Breckenridge and later in Arlington. She loved to play bridge, travel and visit with family and friends. She was a beloved member and volunteer at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington for more than 50 years.

Mary Nell was preceded in death by her husband, Vic on October 17, 2007, two daughters, Susan White and Emily Eldridge, and one brother, Howard Waller.

Survivors include her son, Vince White and wife Marti of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandchildren Corie White, Elliott White and Robert Hancock, all of Edmond; brother Robert Waller of Albany, Texas; sister Charlene Lawrence of Amarillo, Texas; sister-in-law Lola Ehrlich of Granbury, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She will be sorely missed.
