Nancy Carol McLellan

Funeral Mass: 1 p.m. Saturday at Most Blessed Sacrament, 2100 N. Davis Drive, Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington.

Nancy Carol Nosiglia McLellan was born in Braintree, MA on June 4, 1930, near the ocean she grew to love. She passed away peacefully January 5, 2014.

She graduated from Hingham High School and attended Bridgewater State Teachers College. She was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church from its inception and where she was part of several ministries. She was honored by the Girl Scouts for her many different services, especially for her work on leader training, on the board overseeing properties and as a troop leader. The PTA also honored her for her service for more than 30 years to schools in three states. She served as a counselor for American Field Service and packed and delivered food for Meals on Wheels. Her curiosity led her to most of the U.S., on tours of Europe and Russia, to Japan and China, on cruises of the Caribbean and the Panama Canal, and trips to Taiwan and St. Thomas to visit family. She helped everyone who asked as best as she could. She loved flowers, birds, and nature. She loved stories, both hers and others, but mostly she loved and was there for her family and her friends. She will live on in these.

Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Robert.

Survivors: Siblings, Victor, Barbara and Richard and wife, Beverly; daughter, Anne Swan and husband, Jim; son, Bob McLellan; son, Richard McLellan and wife, Laurie; daughter, Julie Peterson; daughter, Janet Stephens and husband, Daon; daughter, Patty Langlet and husband, John; grandchildren, Andy Swan and wife, Christina, Paul Swan and wife, Katelyn Patterson, Abigail Joffrain and husband, Thierry, Dallas McLellan, Victoria McLellan, Kaitlyn McLellan, Rachael Samuelson and husband, Mike, Caryn McLellan, Lauren McLellan, Hannah Stephens, Miranda Langlet, Rebecca Langlet, and Julia Langlet; and great-grandchildren, Will Swan, Eleanor Joffrain, Sylvie Swan, Josephine Swan, Alexander Joffrain, Jason Samuelson and Jackson Swan; many nieces and nephews.
