

She is survived by her three children; sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Rita of College Station, TX; Timothy and Linda of Colleyville, TX: and daughter and son-in-law, Emily and Michael Brinkley of Grand Prairie, TX; grandchildren Stephanie and Sean Murphy of College Station, TX, Charley Ford of the Woodlands, TX; Sam and Hollee Ford of Colleyville, TX, Ty and Janelle Ford of White Oak, TX, Cole and Tiffany Ford of Sanger, TX; Jonathan and Kacey Brinkley of Grand Prairie, TX, Jennifer and Jason Oliver of Grand Prairie, TX, Joshua and Tiffany Brinkley of Grand Prairie, TX and Jessica and Justin Hoover of Grand Prairie, TX; 20 great grandchildren, sister-in-law, Doris Ford of Grand Prairie, TX and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Naomi married Edmond Hugh Ford on August 31, 1947 at Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock, TX. They were married for 50 years until his death.
Naomi was born in Lockney, TX on August 22, 1925 to Bessie Myrtle (Dunn) Langford and Drayton Dent Langford.
Naomi graduated from Lockney High School in 1943 where she was valedictorian of her class. She attended Texas Technological College where she was a member of Alpha Chi Honor Society and graduated in 1947 with a Bachelor of Business Administration.
Naomi was a Christian for over 76 years and a faithful member of Cross Point Church of Christ in Grand Prairie for over 66 years. She served as church secretary at Broadway Church of Christ in Lubbock, TX and Turnpike Church of Christ (CrossPoint), Bible school teacher and established a program for assisting school children in the community in need of clothing. Naomi continued to support this program well into her 80’s and continued to assist with preparing Bible class materials for the 2 and 3 year old class up until her illness.
Naomi was also active in civic associations including the PTA and the Community Concert Association in Grand Prairie where she served for a time as Secretary of the Association. Naomi was a long time piano teacher with many former students in the community. Naomi also attend arthritis water exercise classes at GP Natatorium and later at the Summit for the past 25 years.
Naomi worked at the University of Texas at Arlington for the Associate Dean of Engineering for 13 and 1/2 years.
Services will be conducted at 2:30PM, Saturday, March 4, 2017 at the CrossPoint Church of Christ in Grand Prairie with Tim Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Moore Memorial Gardens, Arlington, TX.
