

Olga Mae Canales, 92, left this earthly home April 17, 2025, in Arlington, Texas. She was born on December 28,1932 in Uvalde, Texas to Aurora and Celestino Santos. Olga was raised in Uvalde where she attended and graduated from Uvalde High School in 1951, and after high school she attended Durham School of Business Administration as well as Southwest Texas College.
Olga married the love of her life Bill Canales in 1954, and they moved to Austin to help her husband further his education in engineering. The couple had four wonderful, children together and Olga was a devoted wife and mother.
Olga enjoyed spending time with her friends and family; as well as doting on her eleven grandchildren and individually creating an affectionate and unique environment for each one.
Her family and friends will always remember Olga as a kind-hearted woman, who was devoted to her Catholic Faith and a die hard Texas Longhorn football fan.
Olga is preceded in death by her mother, Aurora and first granddaughter, Mary Gene Canales.
Left to cherish her memory, her beloved husband of 70 years, Bill Canales; children, Rick Canales and wife Jane, Bob Canales and wife Lorena, Sandy Canales Trask and husband Doug, Shirley Canales Gladbach and husband David; grandchildren, Charles Canales, Krystal Welch, Sara Trask, Brady Canales, Jake Trask, Luke Trask, Ricky Canales, Shelby Canales, Andrew Gladbach, Colleen Gladbach; great-grandchildren, Kinley Trejo Welch and Scarlett Welch; brother, Elias Menendez and sister-in-law Gloria Menendez; along with many friends.
A visitation will be held on April 25, 2025, from 5-7pm with a rosary to follow at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N Davis Dr. Arlington, TX 76012. Funeral Mass will be at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 2100 N Davis Dr. on April 26, 2025, at 10 AM followed by interment at Moore Memorial Gardens
