Patricia Louise Barker

Patricia Louise Barker, née Lewis, aged 68, passed away on October 16, 2025, in Arlington, Texas. She was born on September 16, 1957, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Gene H. and P. Modiene Lewis. Patricia who was affectionately called Trisha by family, was raised in Arlington and graduated from Sam Houston High School in 1976. She married Carlton T. Barker in 1980, in Arlington and the couple had one child, Sarah Elizabeth. Pat was a librarian aid and kindergarten assistant in Arlington Independent School District for 25 years, where she worked until 2018.

In her spare time, Pat enjoyed geology and family genealogy. She was proud of her Texas heritage. She also enjoyed cake decorating, leading the puppet team at Fielder Road Baptist Church, and appliqué. She was an avid reader of mystery novels.

She is preceded in death by her father, Gene H. Lewis; her mother, P. Modiene Lewis Garland; her father-in-law, Travis Barker; and her mother-in-law, Geniece Barker. She is survived by her husband, Carlton Barker, of Arlington, Texas; her daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Scott Kotlarich, and her grandson, Maverick, of Euless, Texas; her brother Karl Lewis and brother-in-law Donald Jones of Irving, Texas, and her sister and brother-in-law Carol Beth and Charles Sellars, of Sherman Texas, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.

A memorial service celebrating Patricia’s life will be held on October 22, 2025, at Moore’s Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas, beginning at 1:00 p.m. All who knew and loved Patricia are welcome to attend, share memories, and honor her remarkable life.
