Paul David Strong

Paul was born November 3, 1935 in Fort Worth, Texas to Reginald and Yoland Strong. He graduated from Carter Riverside High School in 1953 and earned a Bachelors in Education from the University of North Texas in 1959.

Paul was an educator in Slidell, Texas for one year and Birdville ISD for 32 years. He loved teaching. While teaching history and coaching the boys' basketball and football teams at Haltom Middle School in 1972, he met his future wife, the love of his life, Wanda.

They married on June 8, 1973. Paul had two sons from a previous marriage, and Wanda also had a son from a previous marriage. They blended their lives flawlessly and loved each other like they had always done life together.

Paul and Wanda loved to travel and went all over the world together making memories during their 48 years of marriage. Paul had a servant heart. He was a member of Grace Church in Haltom City, where he served as a Trustee and Elder. He was active in Haltom City, serving on several boards including the Parks and Rec Board and Economic Development Committee. Paul was also a member of the Haltom City-Riverside Masonic Lodge for over 50 years.

His greatest love later in life, other than Wanda, were his grandkids and great grandkids. They had his heart and he loved sitting outside talking to them. He loved collecting pens and hats. Anyone who knew him well knew he had a vast pen collection, thousands, readily available but most never saw a piece of paper and he was completely content with that.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife, Wanda F. Strong; son, David Strong and wife Mona; son, Billy Strong and wife Jennifer; daughter in law, Cynthia Andreason;

grandchildren, Lafe Mobley and wife Stacey; Amy Michlitsch and husband Jason, Paul Andreason, Jr. and wife Kindsie; Meaghan Strong and husband Justin McCullars; Ryder Bowen and wife Sarah; Shane Strong; Raylee Strong; Lauren Strong; Kendra Polk; Taylor Pilgram; great grandchildren, Tyler, Brylee and Callen Michlitsch; Jared, Bryson and Hunter Andreason; Ryland Bowen and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Paul is preceded in death by his father Reginald (Rex) Strong, mother Yoland Brashear Strong, mother in law Pearl Brown and son Paul Andreason, Sr.
