Arlington where she was raised by Lester and Dora Sherwood.Peggy was a lady that loved her family and would do anything for them. She was on the sidelines at many ballgames cheering on her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was outgoing and had many friends. She loved feeding birds and playing
poker with the family and friends. There were many nights at her home, the poker
games would go all night long.
Peggy was born July 9th, 1939 in Arlington, Texas. She married and had 2 sons,
Gordon and Van Carlson, then she went on to marry Jim David Fox and adopted
his 5 children and together, they raised them along with a grandson.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lester and Dora Sherwood, her husband
Jim D. Fox, her son Clarence D Fox, her daughter Melvina Miller, her sisters, Lacy
Bell (Mable) Reid, Mary Ruth Hathaway Reid, Bessie Ozella (Jerry) Reid Corron,
Betty Joyce Violet Reid, Bobbie Myrtle Harris Sherwood and Lizzie Mae Sherwood
Gibson, and by her brothers William Tee (WT) Reid and Albert Elic Reid.
Peggy is survived by 4 sons, Van Carlson and wife Renee Carlson, Gordy Carlson and
wife Debra Carlson, Larry Fox and wife Terri Fox, and Marcus Carlson(Grandson),
and 2 daughters Patsy Blair and husband DanIel Devlin, Cynthia Winter and
husband Carl Winter.
Peggy also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, along with
many other family and friends.
Peggy’s funeral will be held at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington, Texas and she will
be buried in the cemetery at Moore’s.
On March 5th the visitation will be at 1:00 PM, service at 2:00 PM and immediately
followed by the graveside.
In Lieu of flowers the family would like donations made
to any Alzheimer’s charity of your choice.
