She obtained a degree from UTA and then got her masters from SMU. She taught middle school and high school in Grand Prairie and Arlington for many years. After retiring from Arlington ISD, she returned to the classroom to teach high school at Adamson high school in Oak Cliff.
She has been preceded in death by her parents Owen and Ella Weaver, husband Uli Kuster, brother Leslie Weaver and sister Linda Weaver. She is survived by son Matthew Kuster, sister Joyce Mastrobuoni, sister Kay Springer and adopted sister Cathy Livingston. Additionally, she is survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends who were like family to her.
A memorial service for Phyllis will be held Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 1:00 PM at North Davis Church of Christ, 1601 North Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012.
