Raul Samora

Raul Samora, 78, of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2018 in Arlington, Texas. He was born on April 3, 1940 in Sweetwater, Texas, the son of Catarino Samora & Antonia Valencuela Samora.

Mr. Samora is survived by three daughters, Erlene Garcia (husband, Luis Garcia), Deborah Perrin, (husband Jeffery Perrin), and Ermalinda Samora; four sisters, Helen Garcia, Angie Tijernia, Lydia Alexander, and Sylvia Gutierrez; one brother, Raymond Gomez; four grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

He is predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Rosa Samora; parents; one brother, Manuel Gomez; and two sisters, Rachel Goana, and Ofelia Herrenbruck.

Mr. Samora enjoyed playing golf, riding his bike,and tending to the yard.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, with a Rosary Service at 7:00 PM on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at The Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 610 NE 17th St, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. Burial will immediately follow at Moore Memorial Gardens, 1219 N. Davis Drive, Arlington, Texas 76012.
