Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Presbyterian Church of Arlington. Visitation: 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home, 1219 N. Davis Drive.
Bob Connell was born Feb. 13, 1928, in Meridian, Miss. He graduated from Meridian High School and Maryville College. Bob married Joyce Knight in 1949.
He served first in the Infantry and then the Transportation Corps during the Korean War. His last job was with Lockheed Martin, from which he retired after 14 years.
Bob and Joyce were members of First Presbyterian Church of Arlington for 35 years, during which he served as a deacon and choir member. Bob was also a 33rd-degree Mason.
All who knew Bob will fondly remember him as a loving husband, father and friend, who always enjoyed visiting, good conversation and fun activities.
Survivors: Wife, Joyce; son, Greg; brother-in-law, James P. Knight and wife, Jan; and nephews, James P. Knight III, James Jeffrey Knight and Geoffrey Youngblood.
