

Funeral: 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Maria Goretti Church on Davis St. in Arlington. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m., with rosary at 7 p.m., at Moore Funeral Home on Davis St. in Arlington.
He was born in Klotzville, Louisiana, on January 6, 1931. Bob Landry graduated from LSU, receiving an engineering degree. He joined the Army Air Corps and served in Korea, flying two tours in Vietnam, and Italy, retiring as a lieutenant colonel. After 22 years of service, Bob retired from the Army Air Corps as a pilot, and began new career for Braniff Airline until moving to TCC to teach airframe mechanics, from where he enjoyed a second retirement. He was a proud member of Knights of Columbus.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Lawes and Stella of Donaldsoneville, Louisiana; his first wife, Margarett McRae Landry; his second wife, Mildred Coker Starkey Landry; son, Donald Landry; daughter, Patti Thornton; and stepson, Timothy W. Starkey.
Survivors: Robert M. "Mike" Landry and his wife, Cindy Landry, of Florida; sister, Maryanne Nelson and her husband, Gunner; stepdaughter, Rebecca Roten and husband, Richard Roten, of Virginia Beach, Virginia.; stepson, John Starkey of Grandview; stepdaughter-in-law, Marsha Starkey of Burleson; granddaughter, Katrina Black and husband, Matthew Black; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved friend of years, Glenda Ketcham of Arlington, to whom we give many thanks for the loving care she provided Bob in his last years.
