Rose Marilyn Neeley Durham

Rose Marilyn Neeley was born October 9, 1929 in Princeton, Kentucky to James Richard Neeley and Floy Clark Neeley. Rose grew up in Eddyville, Kentucky where she attended school and graduated from high school in 1946. She married Sam Aker on March 20, 1948 in Cleburne, Texas. Family was important to Rose and she committed her life to raising her family and maintaining her home. She was a member of the Maxie Speer Elementary School PTA and had a passion for gardening and spending time and recreation at the lake house with family.

Rose was preceded in death by husband Sam Aker in 1992.

Survivors include her two children Nancy Boydston and Ricky Aker, grandchildren: Stacy and Aaron Burkhardt, Samantha and Sydney Aker, and Todd Boydston, one brother, Scott Boydston and two sisters, Candy Paquett and Daranne Folipo.

Visitation will be Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Moore Funeral Home. Services will be held graveside on Wednesday, April 6 at 1:00 pm at Moore Memorial Gardens. Friends are invited to join the family for refreshments and sharing memories following the service at the Moore Central Reception Hall.
