

Ruby was born on March 1, 1924 in Breckenridge, Texas, the daughter of Annie and Frank Scottino. She was a graduate of Adamson High School, Dallas, Texas, in 1941. In the years during World War II, Ruby worked for North American Aviation where she met her future mother-in-law, Edna Arthur. Ruby was united in marriage to Marvin L. Arthur Sr. on October 6, 1946, and enjoyed 52 wonderful years until his death in 1998.
Ruby was a long time member of the St. Mark's Episcopal Church. She was a devoted wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, and friend. She actively participated in school events with her children and was awarded a lifetime Parents Teachers Association (PTA) membership for her work in the Texas State PTA. She was also an avid world traveler, a card and game player, and a volunteer in the gift shop at Baylor Scott &White Medical Center-Irving. Ruby always said, "Actions speak louder than words," and she truly lived by that, giving her all in everything she did.
Ruby is survived by her three sons, Marvin Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Silver Spring, MD; Tony and his wife, Carolyn, of Dallas, TX; and Jeff and his wife, Jennifer, of Kingwood, TX; grandchildren Samantha McAnally and her husband, Michael; Trey Arthur; Allison Woodington and her husband, Jeffrey; Meredith Arthur; Leah Arthur; Haley Arthur; and James Arthur; great-grandson, Jace Woodington; niece Judy Dolehite, of Dallas, TX, and her three children; and nephew, Mark Borah of Tyler, TX, and his two children. Ruby was preceded in death by her three sisters, Dorothy Rockefeller, Elizabeth Rorie, and Teresa Borah; nephew, Bob Borah; and her husband, Marvin Arthur, Sr.
