

A Memorial Mass for Santos E. Carreon Jr. will be held 2:00 pm Saurday, December 27, 2014 at LaPurisma - Socorro Mission Catholic Church in El Paso. Santos was born October 13, 1938 in El Paso, Texas to Santos E. Carreon Sr. and Rita Lara Carreon. He passed Wednesday, December 17, 2014 in Dallas, Texas at the age of 76. Santos attended Bowie High School in El Paso, Texas where he was Vice-President of his senior class and President of the Dragons, graduating in 1957. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1958 to 1962 and married his lovely bride Rosa Maria Garcia on December 30, 1962. Santos was a member and past President of the United 30 Club and the Union Catolica De San Jose, branch #5. Santos began his career with the U.S. Postal Service as a clerk in El Paso and was soon promoted to head of accounting, navigating his career to the head of accounting in the Dallas Main Post Office in 1983, and then systems compliance officer and acting postmaster before retiring in 1992. Santos began his second career in accounting with American Airlines retiring in 2004.Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Rosa Maria and sons; Santos E. III (Rose Mary), Javier Roberto (Jaclyn), Jaime Alberto (Tiffany), Gabriel (Amanda) and loving daughter Catherine Ann McCluskey, special niece Michelle Eral (Gilbert), and siblings; Jesus, Francisco, Arturo Sr., Gilbert, Antonio, Margarita Alaniz and Cipriana Tellez, grandchildren; Teresia A. Carreon, T. Lance McCluskey Jr. (Lyndsay), Christina S. Carreon, Tyler X. McCluskey, Santos E. Carreon IV, Anthony G. Carreon, Franciso G. Carreon, Alexander I. Carreon, Emma Rose Carreon, James L. Carreon, Isabella C. Carreon, step-grandchildren Anissa R., and Riley A. DeNeale, and great-grandchild Anthony N. Carreon, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and Godchildren.
