Shelia Gaye Mehta

Shelia Gaye Mehta, 64, left this earthly home on October 26,2023 surrounded by her family in Arlington, Texas. She was born on April 21, 1959 in Olive Branch, Mississippi to Charles and Mary Watts. Shelia was raised in Memphis, Tennessee where she attended and graduated from Overton High in School in 1977. In 1989 she married the love of her life Amit Kantinal Mehta and they had 3 beautiful children. She retired after 25 years of service with Domino’s pizza where she worked at locations both in Tennessee and Texas. In her free time Shelia enjoyed gardening and decorating; but her true passion was when she went soul winning, handing out tracks and telling people about Jesus and about being saved and leading people to the Lord. Shelia’s family and friends will always will remember her as a kind, generous, and giving child of God, and a very funny person. How loving she was and her favorite saying was “God is Love.” She was a loving mother to four beautiful children for she has rejoiced with her very 1st born in Heaven and taught all her children and grandchildren the true meaning of Love and that’s God is love. Her biggest accomplishment is that she is now “Dancing in the Sky”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Watts; sister-in-law, Sharen Hawes

Left to cherish Shelia’s memory her beloved husband of 34 years, Amit Kantinal Mehta; son, Clinton Jacob Mehta “BoOoOoOo”; daughters, Mary Christine Mehta-Calhoun “Yellow Rose of Texas” and husband Tyler, Katherine Leigh Mehta “Brown Eyed Girl”; grandchildren, Noah Benjamin Calhoun, Cameron Michael Calhoun, Samantha Aishwarya Mehta; sisters, Marie Simmons and husband Mike Simmons, Marolyn Abel and husband Jim, Debra Watts “little chicken”; aunt, Pat Anderson; nephews and nieces Michael Simmons, Jason Greenwood, Parisa Rohani, Jimbo Abel, Mandi McElhaney, along with eleven beautiful great nieces and nephews.
